Dingo Diary

Had a great visit from Amy and Cam, from the Pet Meat Co.. They gifted us 50kg of mince, and some salmon heads for our dingo family. Thanks from the dingoes, and us of course. It was really great to meet you.

This is the American Dingo, correct name is the Carolina Dog. Our American friends that follow our page occasionally get them confused with our Australian dingo. Judging by the looks of the Carolina Dog, it is an easy mistake to make

Friday ( as with most days) was extremely stressful
We have had no appropriate holding pen for the arrival of extra dingoes

Waru has been in a back kennel ) 3 mters × 3 meters) clean and open but isolated and really not adequate ( used for emergencies )
However its tripple time for me ,
Early morning routine
Take Arana over to exercise yard ( under constant supervision, )
Up to an hour and she then starts to get anxious .i bring her back and take Nowra , Nowra has short confidence and becomes very anxious, half hour is all she is prepared to endue out of her comfort zone

Jedda comes out and runs in the exercise yard , bring her back and let Amaya out , impossible to get Amaya out of the door so she runs amoke in the house
I then take Waru from kennel and walk him , bring him in to house and clean his kennel .
In the mean time Im trying to come up with alternatives , who can i change over ?
I bring burra in ( he is not happy giving up his pen ) i then attempt to place Waru in burra’s pen ..

That idea was short lived with 4 dingoes wanting to dispose of him , fence pulling guttural growls . could not get within a meter of the pen , about face take Waru back to
kennel , perhaps Mulga will be better accepted
Big sigh .blood curdling screaming and swearing , we return put Mulga back in his pen
By now im at my wits end

However here we are . brought Burra in again ( once again we have 6 inside )
We have put pindan in Burra’s pen ( thankfully as yet no swearing )
We took the plunge and have put Waru in pindans kennel next to django ( gives Waru company and visual to all thats going on )
So far,after a little swearing from django, peace reigns.
We have 4 dingoes to sterilize and would be very appreciative if we could recieve some assistance with this .
Either by donating to Kenwick Vet. Royal street Kenwick on our behalf or donate to Crossroads Dingo Rescue .
Realizing we now have 20 to care for and vet .
Once recent arrivals have been desexed and vet checked, health approved, we will be seeking
Re home possibilities .

Django having a bath
Not happy . guess he became sick of baths having had to have two every day for months due to his mange and injuries when he arrived .
