It has been a difficult 4 weeks
I have recklessly managed to do excessive damage to my left knee .
Torn ligaments , stress fractures, Multiple tears, plus other abnormalities .
The fact I have had breast cancer has been mentioned .
For reasons unbeknown to me.(what has that to do with my knee? )
There is no explaining the pain nor will I attempt to do so.
However I will say there is a great deal of difficulties in working with those in my care with this now disability
My husband has had to take time off work ( being self supporting is indeed creating a great deal of pressure, if he doesn’t work we don’t get paid )again I reiterate we are self supporting
Contrary to the ongoing vitriol
We do not live off donations.
We do not recieve ongoing monetary donations .
Chicken recently and gratefully recieved has given us a degree of reprieve .
Helping immensely with assistance to contribute to feeding the 22 dingoes in our care .
Dingoes we did not actively seek to collect .
Many here are from pounds due to be euthanised on the day. Many have been dropped here .
Many calling and demanding to know where and if that dingo is here , stating “we can’t be seen to support you”
Yet no hand was offered to assist that dingo on death row .
And I would ask where were those who now actively seek to create hatred, incite aggression and go to such lengths in an attempt to force the euthanasia of all here .
Threatening all and any one who may attempt to assist .
In an attempt to promote themselves. .
How much angst and disappointment they must have felt when calling the RSPCA , and failing to achieve their desired outcome .
Most impressed where they the RSPCA .
All upon arrival were and are vet checked.
Many arrived with kennel cough and all here then had to be treated
Upon arrival all are sterilized, and offered for adoption, rehome. (cost to us)
That mantra sang by many “they don’t rehome ”
Try and get a dog from a reputable rescue.
These are dingoes, some wild born, not acceptable to domesticity, many domestic bred thrown out like so much garbage, abused due to none compliance .
We are their refuge .
No homes (suitable) were offered.
Apart from those who arrived with attitude and a sense of entitlement, the dingo was secondry to their needs of fashion, ego and sense of selfish sanctimonious attitudes .
Many giving false information, false names, others feeling the need to sleep with a dingo, yet refusing the offer of perhaps a suitable dingo .
Many showing interest but not prepared for the full commitment required .
Others claiming they need training.
Expectation of dog behaviour and interaction with cats, dogs, small children.
And other dog like behaviour to which the dingo is not always capable of compliance.
Two in a pound three times impounded , I reluctantly accepted the request to assist , having been accused of stealing them some 18 months prior .
At that time upon receiving an urgent request to assist , we could only place them for quick foster due to the urgency, we could not house them here .
For that we were abused and ordered to remove the post by the so called dingo community, we were then accused of stealing them .
The owner well aware of where they were and a VRO was placed upon her to not enter , only too happy was she to play the game . Later apologising blaming ” it was them who said you stole them ” who is them ?
We had not sighted nor were we aware of their whereabouts.
For weeks we endured threats if we did not return the dingoes .dingoes we did not have
So it was with a great deal of reluctance ,18 months later when the shire requested our help to save them( the same dingoes ) from euthanasia their time was up .
A list of 33 people across Australia were asked to help. numerous phone calls of abuse to shire ,yet not one came forward to take these animals ,they did not hesitate to abuse us for assisting .
Infact demanding to know if they were here .
They would be long dead if not here .
Not one offered to take them once we requested rehome .
Where are you ??
The male has severe hip dysplasia
. Placed on gumtree having had 3 previous homes .
An endearing soul , badly bred alpine desert x
Large head small body
So out of proportion yet they were going to breed .
The bitch is a tropical ( well known breeder )
Wild child .
13 months to gain their trust
Now settled they are very bonded to me and settled .
They are happy and secure in the knowledge of no further abuse , no more upheaval no stress .
Security, familiarity, respect and trust, and this is how we work with dingoes.
No expectations no demand request and respect is reciprocated
Breeders have no scruples .
And care less .
Our priority is the care of the dingo .
Yes some are in side crated
5 hours morning exercise and 5 hours nightly is spent taking each to exercise yard .
They can not run together
Pens are cleaned alternatively, one section one day second section the next .
There is no damage in my house ( apart from floors being scratched whilst they alternate during the day .
They are supervised and I’m here 24 /7
My only absence is to attend vet or doctor
And even then we have a volunteer sit with them work with them supervise them .
Pens are a nessesity.
Unfortunately between vets and food, unforeseeable health problems .
We do not have the funding for required pens .
We are happy to rehome contrary to negative opinion
Their security and well being is our priority.
We take into account prior experience, understanding
And your willingness to make a life commitment .
They are not a throw away item .
They are not a right they are a privilege .
They do not like strangers.
As was and is well noted when people come here
It is their domain they resent the intrusion.
So when one arrives bringing their dingo it creates a chain reaction of discontent
They will not accept that intrusion.
Many will not come out of their crate others will show aggression.
It is selfish to bring strange dingoes into a dingoes territory, and expect to be greeted with friendship or acceptance .
It is difficult that they should remain confined while that intruder is free to wander around their domain.
And I have been guilty of confinement to appease those intruders to the detriment of those here.
Not withstanding the agenda of those who attended .
However we hope to tell each story, the suffering of betrayal , mismanagement, misguided expectations.
Expectation of compliance obedience submissiveness
From our apex predator
The suffering of human ignorance, the need to control.
The politics, hatred, competivness.
Within the dingo realm
Little consideration for our dingo .
We are not the victims the dingo is the victim of human apathy ignorance and the desire to control .
