Crossroads Dingo Rescue

October 4, 2020 by sds_admin   No comments   Filed Under: Dingo Diary

Our Bonnie is resting peacefully.
Been a hard few weeks .
She is being monitored by vet and her pain is being controlled
I still lift and carry her , constantly reassuring her , sleep in lounge room next to her
She is feeling insecure which is understandable.

We had made the ultimate decission last Saturday.
That was so hard , distressing and upsetting for all.
Prior to our vet arriving Bonnie managed to get up and say “hello ”
We then all decided it was not her time .
Right or wrong it has to be the right time and the relationship between myself and Bonnie ,is one perhaps few would understand .

Many think our “pets” are just, that a pet .( she is my family ,loved and respected)
She was a rescue she was misunderstood.
Then there are those of us who see a soul, we touch that soul and they become part of us or we of them .
Then there are those with out hesitation will criticise.

To you I say ,she has been by my side as a friend a confident a loyal trustworthy protector .
Understanding my cares my worries my fears and more so understanding the dingoes .
Always keeping them company when unwell, keeping in front of me if she felt one was unsafe .
Building confidence in a injured dingo , sitting with a sick abused dingo .
Bonnie has always been there, her compassion, her empathy, understanding, and intuition ,unfailing in her care and concern.

So if Im wrong in attempting to give her more time, then I stand to be judged ,whilst I can keep her comfortable secure , loved, I shall do all in my power to do so
Until she is ready I shall support her as she has supported me .
So it would be nice for others to support us and her without judgement .

None here are pets .
All have been neglected abused unwanted souls .
Individual identities individual needs
All are special , all never respected and none understood .
My girl may well be a dog , I can say without doubt she has more understanding compassion and common-sense seldom found in human nature .
