Crossroads Dingo Rescue

Up date on Bonnie .
Dan ( vet ) called in yesterday .
Amazing man , upon assessment he noted she was holding her head down reluctant to lift her head as though with great difficulty .
After full examination it was determined her neck is causing her all the discomfort

He checked her reflexes including her back leg reflex
All appeared good
The concern was her neck , I didnt even consider she could have a neck problem .
Her meds have been changed to predx and tramadol.
Last night she had her most peaceful sleep in quite a few days
She is up and walking around
I’m keeping a close eye on her .
Have her food bowl at a height she does not have to drop her head or reach .
She no longer has erratic breathing . She has lost the drawn tightness on her face
So much more relaxed .
Obviously we still require a cart for her , to alleviate the stress on her one back leg .
I notice she uses her neck and head in an attempt to keep her balanced when walking
It may be she has over extended her neck or perhaps fell at some point
It is an amazing relief to no longer see her in so much pain, fearing the worst out come.
I still lift her when she has difficulty ,but over all she is so much better

Bonnie says thank you to all who wished her well .
Not out of the woods but way better .
