I requested permission to post the below post. pertaining to the issues and problems associated with dog rescue .
Thank you kalgoolie dog rescue, for permission to share your story so like my own .
hopefully I can be as discreet and pleasant when telling our story.
The reason I posted the Kalgoolie story .
it is heart felt and honest the battles unwarranted the stress soul destroying.
Many are unaware of the day to day struggles of dog rescues.
Worse when working with dingoes .
the unrelenting vitriol, abuse, and threats we endue, more difficult because the dingo is not a dog , more difficult due to the cult like behaviour .
More difficult through lack.of understanding and knowledge
More difficult because people believe it is their right to walk in here and demand a dingo to add to their collection of exotic animals .
Because they want a dingo .
Because it’s cool .
Because it’s status .
Because its ego .
Too often we are abused because that person is not right, does not have the dingo interest as priority
Do not understand the previous life of that animal has left a residue of further behaviour issues .
Do not take into consideration how hard we work to bring him back. attending to physical injuries. to heal his mind, heal his spirit .
Taking months and longer .
We are criticised because ” they aren’t even a charity ” their words .
Then take into consideration we pay for every thing .
Worming, vaccination, sterilisation, micro chipping, on going vet attendances, constant medication , pens beds, food.
22 dingoes
None of which I’m responsible for having put in to their past dire situations .
Very little is given , if it were not for the few loyal supporters we would not be able to cope
We were asked if we had a hybrid dingo , compliant and helpful we were .
Unfortunately none here would live up to the expectations of running with a dog ( supposedly a dingo hybrid more dog than dingo) expected to co exist with geese pigs and other, a smorgasbord of gastronomical delights for a dingo.

Upset they were when seeing videos of wild born dingoes running around the house.
Their opinion was we are to train them, snide and argumentative in their comments obvious an agenda they had
Claiming we were unhelpful not responsive
Becoming irate when proof of our compliancey and willingness to help was posted. 4 days of none stop phone harassment
However that person did not attend here yet fully prepared with malice to create a post of criticism claiming we were unhelpful .
That same person emailed and sent messages to business informing them to crease assisting us
After 45 plus years I have discovered a dingo is a dingo and training is not their forte .
I have no interest in breaking the spirit of a dingo in a quest to have dog like behaviour of compliancey
It has taken over 40 years of selective cruel and destructive practices to create the dog like dingo in the market to day . Destroying the strong willed the ones who would be the surviver
Many dingoes today are forced to wear electric collars being electrocuted at every turn
Zapped if on the table zapped if he doesn’t sit on command
Zapped if he shows signs of fear
Zapped due to embarrassing his owner
Too many are on mind altering drugs prescribed by dog behaviorist .
To subdue to force into compliance to appear calm whilst incapable of even focusing .
Yet they want a dingo because he is beautiful intelligent and spirited
They spend 90% of the time breaking that spirit .
We were offered blankets and food , we accept the offer with gratitude, the offer to deliver was accepted with gratitude however the offer was not honoured, then a post is screen shot and sent to us .
The vitriol is that we were super rude .
No.lara you did not attend here you have never met me . but you base your opinion on the deception of others who themselves have not been here .
Why the deception?
I can post all interaction .
Ahh but they call themselves a dingo rescue. How better they are than us .
I never believed the competivness I never understand the nasty spiteful jealousy the resentment the hate, to the point of seeking to force us to euthanize all here to promote yourselves .
So.much so they seek to undermine us to incite and create hatred
Another claims they wanted a dingo
The one they wanted was a hybrid , on meeting this boy his main intent was to attack this person his dislike absolute.
Again the vitriol ” they wouldn’t give us a dingo , they don’t re home .
”
We are fully aware of the behind the screen key board vigilantes .
Why would I permit a dingo to be released to a possible disastrous situation where by he is a threat to the safety of that person.
I am held culpable for releasing what could be referred to as a dangerous animal.
He is not dangerous he just didn’t like the people who he read to be false and not genuine.
Another so timid upon meeting the same person excreted and urinated with fear . I had spent 2 years
On his rehabilitation his safety is a priority to me not your ego
Your fences were unsuitable by your own admission your dog could jump that fence, sadly it was the interference from another source who took it upon themselves to discredit us by visiting your place of residence. But you failed to inform them of the inadequacy of your fence to contain your dog .
What right did that other group have to go behind our backs .
Sourcing members and taking credit for our hard work
Intolerable narcissistic people.
Animal welfare dingo conservationist you call yourselves yet go above and beyond to threaten and incite
Others to do your bidding
Threatening the animals in our care our property our lives .
You are dangerous .
We are unable to attempt to advertise a dingo in hopes of a re home, already you have created hardship for us
Further we must tolerate the threats from previous owners
many dingoes here are from their last days in pounds due to be euthanized
We are asked to assist,
We agree . Even though we have little room no pens we find a way to help that animal that would otherwise be dead .
What right do you the previous unsuitable excuse for dog ownership much less a dingo have, to now threaten us .
The animal is alive because of us .
Dead if left to you .
Our doors have been open to all no cost no charge , always willing to assist give advice
Willing to help you work with your dingo ,explaining the reasons behind the behaviour.
Hours on the phone listening to those with problems
Explaining why you have that problem and assisting with a solution
Assisting when you bring a dingo in from over East and now can’t cope because that dingo sent to you was just another sale.
No concern for the end result
No concern for the welfare of the dingo now in care with an uneducated person
I still give the help .
We are hospitable offering coffee and at times lunch ( we don’t get paid )
We open our home to assist others, hours of my time is spent educating you and knowing full well the dingo must suffer the consequences of your ignorance and your need to own an exotic animal because it makes you feel important .
A status symbol to assist with your inferiority complexes.
Many have been grateful many return and show us their amazing dingo they have accepted the learning .
We owe no one any explaination .
for over 40 years we were warrigal haven . A haven for dingoes
Breaking all Laws those laws some we won some we failed, regardless , successful and failure have contributed to the privilege you have to day .
If we dont re home a dingo thats our right and the right of the animal in our care
He makes the final decision.
He is respected here and nothing less than respect will he tolerate .
We are now Crossroads ,and we are at a crossroads we will loose our wild dingo .
I will not place a wild born dingo into a non educated domestic situation.
That is my right. That is my belief the wild born dingo is not suitable for domestic situations
If the dingo spends his remaining years here so be it he is safe and well cared for
Untill you the aggressor the hater pays our bills contributes to outstanding ongoing debt you have no rights .
We are still a haven .a safe place for the unwanted the abused and the wild born.
Again we have been forewarned.
I strongly advise those who again threaten to create mayhem , to come on to our property to attempt to take any animal cause any harm to any animal or property those who incite others to create harm damage threaten life .
The day in court will be our day .
My apologies for not being as polite in my dialogue
Credit given to those before me who were able to get their message across with calm .
The above is only only part of ongoing lengthy relentless harassment we are forced to endue .
Unfortunately I am fully aware of why some euthansise all in their care with intent to do themselves harm , you will not succeed with me .
Break me you may well try but I pray I have the strength and tenacity to continue .
