Dingo Diary

It has been difficult attempting to juggle finances with added vet needs
Bonnie requiring amputation of her leg, added dingoes increasing the pressure
The desperate requirement of additional pens to assist with the over abundance of dingoes in our care and others we would like to help and can not .
Whilst we have been fortunate to be offered assistance by amazing people in erecting more pens we still require the material to do so
.the offer of erecting pens does not include the supply of materials
Hense our request for financial assistance
We just get our head above water when a dingo in our care seeks veterinary care

Our Pilbara has a on going skin problem with his nose . this is extremely difficult and has been on going
Made more difficult due to his reluctance to accept and more, a difficult situation of moving him from the safety of his familiar surroundings ,attempting to transport him to veterinary care is as precarious to his health as any injury being wild born now 5 years old he is in his prime, as with most dingoes when faced with discomfort they become very defensive
Calling a vet here is beyond our financial means and too unless darted for sedation he would not be managable
Whilst he has been treated with antibiotics steroids and natural products his skin issue appears to be resistant to all treatment

We also have 2 here though believed to be bonded are as bonded as two disgruntled pit bulls , extremely aggressive and must be seperated. unfortunately this is not possible again due to insufficient pens .
Constant supervision is required .

Bonnie now requires more attention having to adapt to 3 legs, being an older lady she is somewhat depressed and more reliant on me for confidience and assistance . whilst she is pain free she has her difficulties.
We are blessed with the offer of a chair being made specifically for her needs .

Unfortunately due to the need to constantly rotate medicate interact less time has been afforded to post on this page .

Untill and unless a law is passed dingoes will suffer the consequences of human ego .

Is there a business who could donate an excavator and trailer for the day Sunday OR just an excavator delivered to the Serpentine area?

We are in the middle of a project for a rescue that requires the land to be levelled out after being cleared.

I have been jumping from one subject to another.
As most are aware our Bonnie border collie had her leg amputated due to bone cancer

Whilst she appears to cope very well she does become tied very quickly, realizing her age may make transitioning from four legs to three more difficult
Sadly the dingo girls ( inhouse ) have now decided they no longer like her , this adds to her slight depression, given she assisted with rearing them .she feels insecure and quite threatened, so much so we now keep them seperated
However Bonnie formed a friendship with Burra dingo , she is the only one he will associate with .
She comforted him when he first arrived with broken leg and severe mange , after 5 years he still refuses human interaction ( apart from his immediate family )
Bonnie and burra usually run together in the exercise yard , since Bonnie’s surgery he is very careful not to run into her or rough play with her

Today i so wish i had a camera . whilst walking back from the yard Bonnie became tied and slow , our Burra walked along side her and started to learn into her , supporting her right side, of leg amputation, effectively keeping her stable and balanced .
It certainly reflects the relationship and caring of one dingo with his friend

So now I’m of a thought to attempt to invest in a wheel chair, one that will support her body and for her not to depend so heavily on her shoulders and left leg . we have no doubt she has arthritis in her shoulders which cause her pain as she attempts to walk .

Unsure of where i can obtain a chair for her disability .

The main and real issues associated with living around mine sites is the over abundance of food , this creates a false and dangerous scenario , over breeding , their reluctance to search out natural wild food
Over confidience with humans, a false sense of security
Over breeding results in insufficient sustainable food source and as of today they are ( or were if still alive as a result of an alledged unprovoked attack on mine worker who indeed had no respect or common sense , )
Inbreeding has been rife and cannibalism has followed suit due to unprecedented over breeding .
We are now to understand many have been shot
Miners are indeed given sticks to detour the dingo. And as most would be aware agression begets aggression
Sad state of affairs once again the dingo must feel the wrath of human ignorance complacency and false security
