Balan and Daku spent the day out side today .
Rotating daily ,between Burra and Apani one day and the boys the next .
Hopefully this will prepare them for the transition for when we build their pens .

Burra is the most placid boy.
In his near 6 years here, never have I heard a growl or seen aggression .
Since he has become the mentor for Apani he is apparently taking his new found parental roll very seriously.
He moves her aside when she gets over exerburant with Bonnie , when she bites Bonnie he nips her .

Apani attempted to steal Burra’s dinner , in a flash he rolled her swearing profusely in her face .
The next day Miss Apani ,finished her dinner raced around to Burra .
Burra didn’t move he stood stock still, slowly raised his head glared at her , she stopped dead in her tracks tucked her tail and very quietly moved away .

“Wow” I thought how easy was that ?
My point being, parental discipline is a crucial factor .
In the life of our dingo .
Hense when the parents are killed we have the juveniles.
The juveniles then form groups of uncontrolled, uneducated, undisciplined delinquents.
As with all wild life they must be taught wild lore, knowledge is survival discipline keeps them safe
Education is paramount for their survival ,manners and respect for the elders is crucial
Keeping clear of humans
Is one lesson not taught when parents are gone .
In saying that, it is no different to an elder ( indigenous folk ) handing down knowledge and history to the next generation

The adult dingoes hold the ancient knowledge and history , without the older adults the young generation are floundering, with out skills with out fear
Like teenage gangs surrounded by temptations, they have little fear due to the need to form alliances with other orphaned pups they have not had the discipline required. unfortunately inbreeding over breeding ,particually around mine sites where food can be in abundance is ultimately assisting in the untimely deaths as nature takes her toll.
Over breeding , insufficient food to sustain this now unprecedented breeding resulting in cannibalism.

Hense most concentrate on eradicating the adult dingo making the process of elimination of pups running in large groups easier to control .

I have just finished cleaning these ( top ) pens ( 3 hours)
Bunjil and Mirrhi had a run in the exercise yard
From left to right is Burra and Apani ,Apani has discovered she can run up the wire
Burra and Apani are not impressed they are out side .( they come in at night )
Pindan is unhappy he wants to come in “,it’s too hot” he tells me

Mirrhi is next , 4 weeks old when she arrived
Result of no care breeding ( Arther River Wagin area ) we have 3 of that breeders.
another being Ceasar he has HIP dysplasia .
Be careful what you buy from unscrupulous breeders .

Next of course is Bunjil .
It would take to long to rant about his breeder
Still breeding today ( inbreeding siblings)

However it’s obvious I’m not in a great mood .
First 3 hours spent on running dingoes from inside to exersize yard, supervising and returning them back

Cleaning 4 pens . With 10 pens to go
Yep I shouldn’t be here having a bitch .

The howling you may hear in the back ground is due to the two kids ( dingoes ) moved from where Burra and Apani are, to their refurbished pen
They are distressed and depressed .
This of course is upsetting the rest
The need to move them was due to them not accepting a dingo in the pen next to them ( where Pindan is now ) their aggression was intense .
However it also is upsetting to.me to see these two so unhappy, wanting to go back to what they feel is their pen .

What does one do ??

I still have to mow the back yard ( hand mow )
Nothing is easy here .

A major concern is fire , I’m terrified of fire ,there is no way to remove any animal from Here , hell I don’t even have a reliable car
I wouldn’t have a car if it had not been for the generosity of another .
However it is tied. I can not transport dingoes un restrained ,.. with no air condition in excessive heat .

Now I can’t be bothered continuing to whinge .
So I’ll get back to cleaning pens , doing the meds rounds and quietly stew on the fact no dingo here is due to my negligence .
No dingo here was recklessly bred by me .
Should I continue my rant I would yell abuse at all who have defamed us .
Those who lead people away from rehoming the dingoes here , with vindictive intent .
Those who with malice bring in dingoes from over East rescues .
Many of which we have been requested to take

All good sorry it’s meant to be the festive season , tell that to the dingoes here .
And no I do not feel better .

Sprinklers go all day to keep thses animals cool .

No one is happy here , the two dingoes being moved from their pen and rehoused are not impressed .
It again proves how important familiarity and security is .
secure they are But unfamiliar surroundings has upset them .

Burra and Apani have been in Burra’s pen all day , not sure that friendship will last .

The wild boys …have put Daku in a larger crate
Omg you would think he has had his paw caught, the performance is ridiculous .
Pens for the wild kids we must sort

A force to recon with is this wild child ,hand raised meeting so many people ,no longer a baby now a teenager who dislikes people , even those who have interacted with him as a pup he now swears at .

It’s been awhile since I hand mixed concrete , bit of a work out today mixing cement in a wheel barrow , 6 4 2 , had to keep reciting ,

think I might be having night mares,
oh well, thankful I am for the ability to be capable .
Poor Warren had to spread it , all good, done
