A belated ” thank you ”
To KENWICK VETERINARY clinic
With out hesitation they were on call for Balan, it is such a relief to have such knowledgeable people work with our dingoes.

your patience and generosity assists us to continue saving the dingoes in need .

This boy wandered in yesterday
Blind in one eye and missing his left claw
He obviously has been around and managed for some time , I didn’t feel comfortable in just relocating him .
They mate for life and this is no doubt his territory.
Just to be sure I took him to Kristy ( Amadale reptile )
Where he can be assessed .

Certainly he has had a rough and tumble life , all though he appeared quite healthy to me , I am no expert on reptiles .

Funnily I had put him in a basket with a cover over him on the table
I returned a short time later to find him missing , he had climbed out of the basket and how he managed to get off the table I have no idea ,
However I was then missing one Bob tail goanna , big panic searching under lounge and cupboards , I could hear my guitar rattling , seriously praying he had not managed to get inside .
All good he was hiding behind .
I did become concerned , dingoes running through out one part of the house reptiles cat and Bonnie in the other .
However I have no doubt he is in the hands of amazing experts now .

Young Balan has gone from almost death door to motoring around as if nothing has happened .

From a feisty full of life kid to dehydrated very ill little boy requiring immediate surgery.
Today he behaves as though he hasn’t endured such an ordeal
He had a patch on to control his pain , that has disappeared. we now hope he hasn’t eaten the darn patch .
Daku is fretting for his brother, both go into a pen during the day ,returning inside at night ,due to Balan recent surgery we have to keep them separated.
Try explaining that to Daku .
He is very upset by the separation, although I doubt when older they will appreciate each other’s company .

At the vet with young Balun, it appears he has swallowed something small and round that he is unable to pass. He became extremely lethargic and wouldn’t touch his food last night, it will mean surgery to remove the offending blockage. I’ll be staying with him until he comes around from the anaesthetic. Fingers crossed.
