Crossroads Dingo Rescue

May 15, 2020 by sds_admin   No comments   Filed Under: Dingo Diary

Attempting to convince Balan time for bed is proving to be difficult
Time to play he says .

It’s also been a difficult few weeks , I have been unwell and had to attend hospital for proceedues due to medical problems now confirmed .

Avoid stress they say , somewhat difficult with 20 dingoes and the wild kids running amok at night .

I have had a friend calling in 4 days each week assisting me , a friend of 25years +
A lovely lady a true and loyal friend, so thrilled she had been as each dingo has introduced him/ herself , the wild kids simply adored her and her excitement at each acceptance , Burra so aloof and untrusting simply made her day when he calmly approached and accepted her hand in friendship
My friend has been by my side during my ordeal of multiple and invasive testing supporting me due to my fear of the unknown
Doing as much as possible to assist with the dingoes, those who accepted and trusted her

It is with the deepest sadness that this precious lady waiting patiently and helping me on Friday 8th of may , left my home with her last words of returning early in the week
I received a phone call to tell me she had passed away .
So suddenly so unexpectadly
The shock left me speechless.
I feel guilt for i had not expressed my gratitude and had neglected to tell her of my appreciation how I valued her friendship, seldom does one have such a friend loyal and trustworthy and so quickly gone
So it is with a deep sadness and a heavy heart I had not had the opportunity to say good by .
I realise how important it is to never take any thing for granted to always take that 5 minutes to tell that person so valued how much you care , I lost that chance .
So today we grieve and the wild dingo pups so loved her they grieve .
If only we take that time to appreciate the worth of a true friend , it is so important for if nothing else we also realise the fragility of life, a moment to say thank you I moment to say how much we care. too late now .
