Crossroads Dingo Rescue
Ann has been going thru some old dingo related news clippings, and these are just 2 of the many she has saved over the years. the first 2 pics feature Claas Gaikhorst, of the Armadale Reptile Centre, here in Western Australia. This is dated 1983. The pics were forwarded to Kristy, Claas` daughter, who also is part of the ARC, and a good friend and supporter of ours. She was delighted to receive them. The 3rd pic is of Ann`s daughter, at age 6, in 1981. More clippings to follow, as Ann sorts them. Watch this space.

Crossroads Dingo Rescue
Heart stopping moment this morning .
I had rotated Nowra, then Arana followed by Balan
Morning routine .
Burra and Apani were next .
However I had forgotten Storm ( 12 year old full of herself despicable attitude cat ) demanding and demanding , put her our ,She wants, in bring her in ,she wants out, not beyond screaming abuse if her demands are not met
Today she almost lost the right to demand any thing .
I had totally forgotten she is is out and at the lounge room door wanting to come in.
I come out the other door with both Apani and Burra Apani being her usually brat dingo and me fighting for control
No one saw the cat untill the last minute I’m sure it was the element of surprise which saved her
Apani and Storm came face to face , in a split second Apani pounced, Storm cat quick as a flash jumps back both paws extended claws out slaps Apani and back flips
The shock to both was instant .
Once recovered storm had the good sense to save herself by getting up on the Kitchenette, still didn’t stop her from swearing .
Apani now is checking every nook and cranny when I take her out .
Thank the powers I keep leads on them .
All good cat safe, hasn’t learnt to not harass the dingoes.
She too thinks shes that and some.

Now that the fence extension on the exercise yard is almost complete ,( much appreciation to Chris ).
I have a sense of security. whereby I can run the dingoes without the associated high stress.
I still supervise insofar as they are not left alone but can enjoy their run without me having the fear of them high rising over the top .
Between 24 and 36 times each day I rotate the inside kids .
I can now take a coffee and a book while they enjoy pulling out young trees and digging to their enjoyment
Balan this morning is always Mr mischievous, ” looks at me I canz pull up trees .as he pulled and tugged on a young 2 meter gum tree successfully pulling it out
I had my book and a coffee, This irritated him not being the centre of attention .
, quick as a flash he races in grabs the book and gone
Big smile ( head back grinning ) as he runs around and around with me trying to catch him ,” nooo not the book I yell “. He laughs as he rips out the pages amused by the fluttering of pages flying
After 15 minutes of running after him and trying to salvage one book, I manage to retrieve the remaining pages, happy I can at least read the ending
“Arh Balan wicked child ” I say .why would you do that ?
Balan has this attitude of a wayward teenager, smug cocky , thinks he’s all that and more, as he trots away,
Head slightly tilted , bit of a skip in his high stepping , rear low to the ground whilst giving me a dingo shoulder shrug, head to the side slightly dipped with that side ways glance so well defined as dingo defiance . Cos I can he says as he trots away .
He was pretty chuffed with him self having got my attention , all good I can at least read the final out come of vampires . Book is a wipe out though.
