Update on Amaya

Upon arrival here over 2.5 years ago from remote area .
She was excruciatingly timid .
It was impossible to interact with her
Her history unknown other than being a wild child and finally impounded .then her arrival here .
Many months of interaction and time spent to build her confidence and
Yet still, we were unable to get her to venture out side ,or past the door. her fear was absolute .
We could only touch her in passing and then she would retreat .
We could not embrace her we worked very hard attempting to assist her in confidence
And made every effort to find her a home with less competition somewhere she would be number one .
Three persons of interest. whilst verbal in that interest they were not actively genuine , and expectations were set to high for this timid soul .
Still we persevered .

Her forever home was found and the transistion was made easy due to her human spending 5 months here working with her building trust and a bond .

Today with credit given to her human mum , she is happy and confident
Still she refuses to be cuddled and still patience and understanding is required, nothing is expected from her and total respect she recieves.
She is dearly loved .
Yet still remains aloof to a degree , she initiates contact but the wish for a full embrace is yet to be forfilled.

This is the difficulty in re homing a dingo .
Special people for a unique special needs animal .
Its not about the turn over its about the genuine love of that person to take the time to build that trust with out expectation without an agenda , to totally accept with conviction to protect and love that soul who is now in their care to give that dingo an amazing new start .
Only special people can do that .
