I have to talk about the Pilbara pup , such a funny wee thing he is , so clever .
first thing in the morning he screams howls and screams [gods help their mum] demanding”let mess outs”, he screams , he doesn’t want to come but he stand still looking straight ahead , yet watching me from the corner of his eye he doesn’t miss any thing , he doesn’t stand still, he is dashing here and there , dancing on the spot , racing and jumping like a wind up toy on fast drive .
I take him out side and he is like a highly strung on full alert terrified of what might come from behind in front to the side and from above , he doesn’t stop to wee , he is still dancing on the spot checking this way and that , always he looks up .
the hardwired primitive knowledge of impending danger , is with him constantly the knowledge of danger from above being eagles , the danger on the ground being pythons and other , so much danger out there for these babies one wonders how any survive at all .
he does a quick poo , and quickly he covers it, still forever alert , something moves a leaf rustles and he is gone , he wants to check every thing but every thing frightens him ,when bonnie is with us he stays by her side or under her tummy , always checking always seeking cover . when in the house and a strange sound , he is gone , he finds a hidey hole , if we are out side and a car pulls in , there is no calming him , he almost flies into my arms and tries to bury himself , he shakes and hyperventilates.
such is the fear , this fear the domestic dingo no longer has , this has been bred out , this fear is their survival this is what keeps them alive .
the Pilbara pup is all dingo no interference no manipulation wild in spirit wild as should be .and much loved for his wild spirit . never will this be curbed , never will I attempt to subdue , he will trust his instincts and be respected for his wildness .
A memory of the pilbara pup
Now 6years old
He retains his aloofness, and his fear .
He is very much his own dingo .
He refuses interaction with all ( apart from myself )
He is non aggressive .
