We have just returned from a 4k walk (pindan and I) not far but not bad, me with one arm and he bursting with energy. He is very good and very much in sync with me , stops if in front and waits or comes back and puts his head on my knees , funny kids are dingoes .Pindan arrived here late on a Friday night in late April ,flown down from remote area having been surrendered to pound , he was somewhat unsure somewhat lean and had sores all down his spine ,one would think he had been dragged. Pindan was just all over the place, no name ,no sense of security and seriously no idea on interaction .once here he was immediately vet checked sterilized ,vaccinated, microchip. Today he answers to his name , he is in a routine has security and is understood , we thought we could find a home ,who would not want this handsome boy ? But alas he is sterilized, no financial gain to be had , and too he is from wild born parents, a force to recon with , a large problem is once here ( or in a home of security and understanding plus respect ) they dig their paws in and already Pindan has become selective with who he permits near him ,
Even to think of re home he wraps himself around the door frame ( not going not going , he says ) one would think being one of one with the right people would be more appealing in preference to being one of 17 , don’t care ,he says . He fits in, happy in a routine of rotation , wanting to interact yet unaware of how to when greeting dogs, or dingo , he wants to play with Mirrhi and Arena, they gang up on him and he becomes cross and unsure , but he too has a dominant personality , so we let Mirrhi and pindan play , but pindan gets over exuberant and this now makes Mirrhi defensive ,so we are slowly teaching him ( lol ) to be gentle , not going to happen any time soon .Pindan is very clever , when the girls are out racing around he does so want to join in but as stated it turns volatile, but all good , he is in his crate so he bounces the crate around the house chasing them , not good for wooden floors but he laughs all around the house ,they can’t hurt him and he can’t hurt them .he loves running in the exercise yard , still not dingo proof , as yet he has shown no interest in jumping or climbing the fence , he did get truly upset late yesterday , the neighbours had loud music going, he went from happily running around to melt down anxiety ,remained unsettled for many hours later ,doesn’t take a great deal to turn a confident dingo into a quivering mess.

pindan, wild born parents , mum kimberly girl dad pilbara boy (we are so told )pindan is now 10 months old , magnificient handsome boy (neutered) large boy with all four paws firmly gripping every day , his interests are destroying furniture, climbing on furniture, running amoke, eating all and everything he has an insatiable appetite , he is funny and is aware of his humour , determined and wilful, disobedient as dingoes are , they are not designed to be obedient , he is a force to recon with , loves life , loves walks , every thing is his way or no way , he digs and he can climb, he is non aggressive but strong headed , he is not polite and is dominant when greeting dogs , so not a good idea , no self respecting dog will tolerate Pindans idea of fun .not cat friendly, way to boisterous for children , demands respect, resents the word
‘no ‘ he would be a great companion.
Pindan requires a kind hand and understanding extremely patient tolerant human , due to his wild born heritage , dingo knowledge is absolutely paramount . no weak hearted , no fearful or control obsessive human . mutual respect, give and ye shall recieve , request against demand.
no harsh words no voice raised, non aggressive sensitive calm person is required .Pindan likes his name he will acknowledge ,Pini he smiles Pindan he frowns , recons he is in strife when full name is used .
he is clever he can turn on hot plates and oven knobs he can open any cupboard and draw, he opens fire places.
he loves coffee and tea he has to have his weetbix, oops he has to have bananas major weakness is bananas . apples are a close second , dont bother hiding any thing he will find it .
you cant be materialistic , no lounge no chair no table is Pindan proof .
he is highly intelligent and one will question who is superior, umm he is, just ask him .
hows that for a spin on a request for a dingo perfect home . all true and much more , life is guaranteed to be non stop stress and excitment you will want to spit chips while laughing hysterically .you may have a heart attack, but what a way to go.

It’s been a full on few days , took Pindan for a walk last night and this water board truck pulls up next to us and the guy says ” that’s a very handsome dingo ” and of course Pindan was very enthused by this compliment giving his best smile , then he sits puts his paw over his face wipes his eyes and looks up as if to say ” yeah I just noz Iz a handsome dingo ” brought a smile to the mans face . We haven’t made a big fuss about Pindan and his heritage his breeder and supplier ( as yet ) but he was flown down from Derby being an in mate of shire pound . He has been with us for over 6 weeks now, he is now 9 months old , we sterilised him within a week of arriving due to his very high sexual drive , which causes concern due to the fact that 2 brothers were sent ( Pindan being one of them ) to remote area one would be concerned re the breeding with feral dogs .also the fact both dingo pups were sent to uneducated people . Burra gave me a bit of a scare this morning teaches me not to become to complacent , I have been putting Burra in the exercise yard , by no means dingo proof , but he has been happy to hang out with bonnie who is his very best friend , today I left them in the yard thinking Burra has no interest in climbing or digging , I was out the back when feral ( Jedda ) stands to attention and who is trotting up the veranda seemingly somewhat stressed by his own escape yep our Burra he even ran past the cat straight to the back door , have to say I was in a state of panic and then amazement , he is such a truly timid boy very very fearful yet he beat his own fear to get back to the house , he could have so easily bolted , so lesson learned for me but real proud of our boy , one that had been so mis treated and scared of his own shadow now feels very much at home enough to ensure he doesn’t run , not that I would put that to the test again . Arana has been here 2 years little wild born girl from the Kimberly ,I was sure when she arrived via flight that she was 6 – 8 weeks old ,I realise now she may well have been over 3 months old ,being so small was deceptive , she has been very elusive very timid not stopping for a pat rebuking any attempt at physical interaction , and now 2 years later she decides she loves her mum coming for hugs and wanting attention , just like that, she flicks a switch , absolute little sweetie she is , but of course she remains painfully timid of any thing and every thing. I notice of late she is starting to tell Mirrhi off , things are changing Mirrhi is no longer permitted to get away with her bossiness , other than that, just busy walking dingoes cleaning pens. All dingoes here are rescue dingoes , many could have been re home ,sadly for many it may be too late .but too. one has to accept there are other forces at work that prevent homes being offered for our dingoes at Crossroads .

Burra is a lovely boy
Burra is a lovely boy but very timid ,shame no one wanted to offer him a home ,after 3 years perhaps to late now . I’m thinking all that are here are permanent residences and all that may come shall remain as well
