Just have to convince Bonnie to go slow , she thinks she is invincible
Says our Bonnie now minus her back leg
All the planets were aligned for our girl

To something very wrong with Bonnie
Amazing vets Sue Joubert , the amazing staff and Doctors at Kenwick Veterinary who worked on Bonnie a massive thank you.

Crossroads Dingo Rescue
Just an update on our girl Bonnie. Her surgery went well today, as did her recovery after the operation. We will be able to pick her up tomorrow and bring her home

Crossroads Dingo Rescue
I wanted to joke about our trip to the vet
I wanted to tell how this bloody spider appeared from behind the rear view mirror
How his web came across to the right hand door on an angle where by he had to go past my face
I wanted to joke of the heart pulpitation and adrenaline due to this spider hanging between my eyes , and i want to say how erratic my driving became
I wanted to laugh at how i did an almost 360 into the nearest drive way
I wanted to tell you how bonnie aked if i was ok
I wanted to say how while we were driving Bonnie lifted her head, she looked at me and says ” iz loves you my mum ” I say ” i love you my girl ”
I wanted to laugh at how I flew out of the car, took a sheet of news paper and then grabbed the spider . shook the news paper and hoped In had deposited one spider on the verge
Not wanting to drop the paper I put it on the back seat , Bonnie looks at me turns and looks at the news paper and says ” mumz he still there . and yep one spider now sitting on the screwed up news paper on the back seat
I laughed at her and told her all “good sweetie as long as he stays in the back ”
So for a few weeks I have not been confortable about Bonnie . just that niggling tuition
Arana and Nowra constantly nudging and being intrusive, refusing to leave Bonnie alone
Bonnie developed a limp , and I thought perhaps a little arthritis in her hip , then she would be ok , and i would say, might need to see the doctor . ” nup iz fine ” as she got up and limped a way
Its a bitch having intuition , its a bitch seeing things its a bitch being bloody right
Im told im the most negative person . I will tell you I am very positive, positive that what can go wrong will .
If nothing else it prepares you . and if it is positive then that is a bonus , but at least one isn’t open to disappointment .
Bonnie hobbled in to the vet . so very anxious was she
Blood was taken physical done , vet thought perhaps a slight injury , perhaps arthritic
We talked about xray . debated infact , very difficult to xray that leg , however we agreed and managed to get our girl on the table semi sitting position back legs extented
What a good girl she is .
The result is Bonnie has bone cancer
Which requires the removal of her back right leg .
Should we keep her on pain meds ?
Should we just see how she goes ?
No to both . alternatives , remove the leg .
We hope she does not have the cancer in her lungs
Of those of you who have followed our page , our day to day living co existing with dingoes
Our fight to keep the tea cup alive , a 250 gram mastif great dane cross rottie , 5 weeks old and not expected to survive . no hope vets said
Not on my watch . the Tea cup would survive, and he did .
Born on the 13 . one of 13 passing close to the 13 age 13 months
He had enlarged heart. Leaking valves , cronic kidney desease and every other bloody issue genetic and other from back yard breeding . we could not save him .
You have followed the life and fight of dingoes coming into our care , neglected and abused our fight to bring them back and the heart ache of the loss of their passing when no more could be done
You have read Bonnie’ s stories of how she has been our dingo whisperer . comforting those when so afraid, putting herself at risk realising many would harm her ,
Comforting Shyla ( white dingo ) so.ill so mistreated
Giving confidence to those who otherwise would not accept .
Checking the dingoes every morning stressing if there was an argument or fight between them
Telling them off . calming them
Calling for me to sort them out
Surrogate mum to wild born pups
Assessing the aggression showing me and watching i was safe
The cat had a mouse on the front lawn, Bonnie watched with interest . the cat playing with the mouse , when the cat got bored , the mouse left staggering around . Bonnie lays down next to the mouse , puts her paws around it and holds it close .
She never forgave me for putting the mouse out of its misery
Who but Bonnie would help wrangle bob tail goanna from dingo pen, herding them away from potential danger ?
Who but Bonnie would sit with a box of chickens . ?
Who but Bonnie would protect a joey with her life ?
What would we do with out our Bonnie ?
Here we are today . so many stories can be told about Bonnie
Bonnie has her surgery tomorrow , no she is not a young girl , she is 11 , but i promised her a life committment , and i will keep that promise
Shes not ready to leave .
We seldom ask for help,
Asking for help for the dingoes in our care is difficult .
And to those Who do assist who do support we say a massive thank you
Today its about Bonnie . and as reluctant as i am i will now ask for financial help to get this girl well .
Appreciating if you help but accepting if you dont
I dont know how she will cope with this surgery
I will be her support i will be her missing leg and I will be her carer, as she has been mine and all those dingoes she has assisted .
Thanks in advance .
